HCS SCS SB 1059 -- CONVEYANCE IN VERNON COUNTY

COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass" by the Committee on Correctional and State Institutions by a vote of 17 to 0.

This substitute authorizes the Governor to convey certain property utilized by the Nevada Habilitation Center to the Nevada R-V School District.

FISCAL NOTE: Income to General Revenue Fund of $737,295 in FY 2001, and $0 in FY 2002 and FY 2003.

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that this property is not needed by the habilitation center and can be better used by the school district.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Westfall.

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
